British Culture Secretary to Hold Talks on Maccabi Tel Aviv Fan Ban
A law enforcement official from the central England region has requested an immediate review of the ruling to prohibit Maccabi Tel Aviv's fans from being present at the upcoming match.
The commissioner, who oversees the police department, explains that this appeal aims to determine whether the prohibition is appropriate, essential, warranted, reasonable, and a balanced measure to achieve a legitimate aim.
"This should involve evaluation of every and any possible suitable, alternative options," Foster emphasizes.
The commissioner has also requested to review the written decision and suggestion from the advisory group, as well as the police assessment.
He stresses, however, that the final decision belongs to the committee and the authorities.
